Organized as a Committee of the Australian-American Chamber of Commerce Houston-Perth Sister City celebrated it’s 25th anniversary with a week of events with both Houston Mayor Bill White and Her Lord Mayor of Perth, Ms. Lisa Scaffidi attending a reception at City Hall. Also part of the week of events was a luncheon with Her Lord Mayor meeting with a delegation from NASA, Rice University, the Medical Center and the Greater Houston Partnership to discuss opportunities of exchange in education, science, business and medicine.
Houston-Perth is active in all Sister Cities of Houston activities and also hosts an online live debate with students in Perth and Houston. Houston-Perth Sister City joins the Australian-American Chamber of Commerce in it’s annual celebration of G’day Week honoring the founding of Australia as well as it’s Energy Conference.
